If a figure on this site is wrong, or a place is named in a way its community would not name it, that is the message worth sending.

Corrections

Write to corrections@mrcautray.com. Quote the entry and, if you can, the source you are working from. Every correction that changes a number is made in the entry and noted in About the figures.

Photographs

Write to plates@mrcautray.com. We are looking for the frames the register cannot supply: gauges, benchmarks, quarry faces, raised shorelines, and people at work on them at a scale that shows how big the ground is.
